Would a LSJ engine with the s/c fit in a 2.2? As in a swap?

just a question. what would you have to do to get it to fit?

same motor essentially. 2.2 = 2.0 don't see an issue with it not fitting but your going to need to transfer all those goodies like computer, intercooler, charge pipes etc. .

why not have just gotten a ss/sc?

would be sooooo much easier and cheaper. you will have to get ALL of the electrical componets (ie pcm, ecm, etc) and then you will have to make sure that the motor mounts and exhaust line up (header) and then possiably the hose hook ups could be different than the 2.2 ............ just a thought

Plus you would get a better suspension, interior, exhaust, wheels, stereo, all for cheaper than doing a swap.

I have a question. Would the monte carlo/impala ss 5.3 fit in the cobalt? We have a lot of room. But the 5.3 might be too big. I'm just curious, not going to do it because I don't have the money to do it.

Just out of curiousity does anyone know the difference between the 2.0 2.2 and 2.4. Is it just the rods that are different, or are the heads different. Haven't gotten to rip one apart yet so if anyone knows... =)

that was just the supercharger, not the engine. this is the second time that ******* has put it up, his reserve is too damn high to sell the thing.

the lsj will fit but it would be better to have the tranny in there too.

i would rather buy a LS vs an SS/SC....
here, when i bought mine, there was more than a 10k difference after taxes and dealer bullshit fees between the two, the LS having everything that the SS/SC had except the leather seats and the engine (i hate leather seats anyways). for that money you could easily upgrade your suspension, piece together a turbo and get a quaife lsd. this is assuming that you would do your own work and
wouldnt have to pay for install labour.

sorry, dont mean to be an SS hater
