Why i wouldnt use this trans fluid?

Have an MU3 f-35 transmission and I know it requires BOT0063 however when I switched to Mobil 1 75w-90 synthetic ls gl-5 rated trans fluid it smoothed out the engaging and shifting ALOT. Went from a jerking slamming of gears to softly engaging like an automatic.

Question is this is the 2nd time I've changed it, and have run it for 30,000 miles already. What is the reasoning behind using the factory crap that feels like it is tearing my transmission up? I really dont want to go back without a good reason behind it.

Im actually thinking this transmission is gl-5 rated regardless of anyone on this forum's thought. I see more broken syncros /w factory specs than without.

Anyone else do this with their f-35?

Out tranny requires GL-4 fluid at a minimum, so you should be fine with the Mobil 1 75W-90. I use the Royal Purple 75W-90 Max Gear that meets the GL-4 and GL-5 requirements and it works great for me. Glad to see the Mobil 1 is working well for you. It's another option for people to look at then.
