Rev limiter too low for 1/4 mile?

On my first Test and tune I did a few months ago I noticed I'd start hitting the limiter in 3rd right as I passed the 1/4 mile line. If I had a decent run it would start just before. That poses a dilema of if/when I should shift to 4th? Or am I just doing something wrong here? I wasn't especially fast that day so I'd imagine the faster folks are having a real problem with it.

sounds like an other reason for stage2 with that 7k redline. Or with the added power does the same issue arise?

Yea, with a 7000 Redline, as long as you are trapping under 110, you should be good as far as not hitting the limiter.
Anything about that... Well, you should already have a decent knowledge of what the car needs if you are trapping above 110. Lol

3rd only goes up to 93MPH in the SRT4's and you don't see those guys complaining, just shift into 4th.

7k is great but do these cars make power up to 7k or would a set of cams be needed for revving higher and making power. My car makes good power to 6600 after that it falls off

Without any cooling mods, the power will start to fall off earlier as you add more boost / drop pulley sizes.

the cams start to come on about 3k, they far surpass the stock cams at 5k, then fall off at 7600.
