Custom 3" exhaust.....

I just got back from having my custom exhaust done. It is a 3" stainless mandral bent, catback system with a straight thru resonator and a magnaflow muffler. Finally I have something to go with my big ass wing - a big ass pipe. And yes for all who are wondering it is loud!!! And as far as power what a great kick in the ass. I saw on another thread that chevypowered stays of the throttle because of the noise, well I understand the sentiment but with dry roads I had to give it wot. She did not disapoint me one bit. The shop guy took it for a test spin and was surprised at the power. I still need to put on my TOG header and it will be interesting to see how she performs then.

I would say so, that is $1,193.92 US. I think it is fair to say you got ridden hard and put away wet.

no the original cat is still there and far as the price goes if I bought one of the systems for our car I would have paid $800-1,000 US for not a 3", then paid custom fees and GST(tax) and I would have waited for it to show up then had to pay to have it installed(I don't have a lift in my garage ) I was expecting it to be a couple of hundred dollars cheaper but at least he gave me a free t-shirt All in all it is a great looking system and I love the gains that I feel. So I work an extra 6 hours this week to pay the difference

it's welded to the cat as is the original. The whole exhaust was tig welded and Ryan said the welds around the resonator were his biggest pain doing. At least now he can say he has done a custom exhaust on the SS\SC

Whoa that is a bit pricey. A local muffler shop around me quoted 550 for a full stainless system.

For 3" piping? I would expect the 3" piping would be a pretty good increase in price, maybe not that much, but if you're getting 3" piping done from the cat back for that price, I'd be tempted to take a trip myself.

Give me a day or two to get my buddy to help me video and I will get them up. I would get the wife to help but she is not big on speed and I am afraid of having my seats peed on

I held this stainless and it is top notch quality. I was quoted cheaper at a different shop but they were using a much lower grade steel and not mandrel bent either. And if you shop was using the same kind of stainless as I got the savings would have been used up by the time I drove down there

when I see the quality and time put into this system I am happy with what I have. As for paying tooooooooooo much, I am not in the US and my options up here were researched and an extra 2-5 hundred is just a couple of hours a day for a week so I don't care.I am glad lots of guys can get it done cheaper and I hope the guys who really need to scrimp can get the info from you so they can save like you did.

thanks for part one(Looks good) and yea yea for part two(not for the price...) but the increase in power is great, even noticed better gas mileage in rush hour traffic when I couldn't have fun. I love this exhaust when I drop down a gear or two and boot it . Sounds mean

Hey, congrats on the exhaust. Wut resonator did u use?? by who and how much u pay for it? if u drove in to the states u coulda got it cheaper. but u got it, didnt mind payin the price u did. and it makes u happy, so thats all that matters. I can get my full 3 "in custom put on for $200 from muffler man. So i think i got a good price on that. i trust muffler man too. i stand out there and watch them as they do so i kno they dont miss anything and they do it right.

Sorry but I just saw the price and it just suprised me...

And not to be rude but if he didn't want the price to be a reason of discussion, he shouldn't have posted it.
