I had that resinator (or one that looked like it) on my first exhaust and it was hella loud, but that was with a strait thru round muffler.

1400 bux is a lot but it's custom and it looks nice...

You guys must be related to Jesus - resurrecting the dead.
The exhaust is as beautiful today as when it was done. I bought the best piping I could get and the workmanship is a thing of beauty. As with the way I am doing my project I want the best not just half assed. I don't believe in going half way down the field. It's a touchdown or nothing.
When I originally did the exhaust I knew I was going to go for more power so instead of having to do the job twice, I had 3" mandrel done even before I was fully using it's potential. I have never regretted my decision. I felt the increase in power the first time I got on the gas. I am happy. The cost was the price of doing business. Of course I also buy JBP and you won't hear me whine about their prices either.

No you don't. You have custom 3" mandrel exhaust, but unless you feel like driving to Canada we won't be able to compare the difference, will we?

Your right, but I do have an extremly similar exhaust. Your car will be quieter than mine though. Mine doesn't have 2 turbos muffling the sound

The resonator on my exhaust is really loud (I forget the brand name) and I am hoping it's a bit quieter with those turbos on there. Racing around it sounded great but sitting in traffic I kept wishing for ear plugs. I'm old (47)

Wow 47 and drivin a cobalt! Thats a miss-match. I don't know man, I think your gonna get taken down by a guy who does a twin screw swap. With the twin screw swap and supporting mods 500 whp is easily do-able.

Then that guy is still going to be 250hp short of taking me down. 750hp is where we are going. Remember touchdown or nothing.
And what do you mean mis match? I love my Cobalt and you guys will be happy when certain parts are available next year just because this "old fart" decided to buy and mod a Cobalt. Did I mention I love my Cobalt.

Are your pics going to show that you bolted it together or are you a welder? How about stainless steel hangers, did you put those in too?

hey i have a question can any one tell me why my check engine keeps coming on. i changed the exhaust 3 times now and its still doing it. i went from stock to custom 3in no cat on the first time. then i put a cat in to quite it down and to make the o2 sense some thing differnt. now i have made a new 3in down pipe with a flex and cat in the down pipe with 2 1/2 cat back system for back presher. i have my power back and great sound but the check engine lite keeps coming on. i disconect the bat. let it sit for 5 min. then hook it up and the lite will stay off for about 2 days. then its back on. i took the car to autozone to see what code its throwing they cant seem to be able to read it they tried 3 times. i have new oxygen sensors 2 of them. what could this bee.

My exhaust cost me $189 dollars brand new shipped to my door and I can bet it produces more gains than that 3inch.

Yeah, there is no..Muffler Man, shop out here in Jersey. I personally think that 3" is a bit over-kill unless there are some serious mods going on, but thats just IMO.
