this keeps killing me but i was curious, i just ordered my 08 ss/tc and it wont be here till mid july, but does anyone know what the car sounds like stock? can you hear the turbo spool up like the srt4 does? just wondering what it sounds like... XD

Its internal you cant hear a BOV, NO you cant adda BOV right now. you CAN here the spool but it isnt loud

 

I drove a stock SRT-4 and it was rather quiet(besides the exhaust). If it comes factory with a recirculating BOV adding a BOV that vent's to the atmosphere will hurt it's performance.I'm sure you could get tuned for it though.

 

Nice and quiet, subtle. Just like turbos should be.

 

Extremely quiet...can actually be difficult to time the shifting just right...

 

You can hear the spool and wastegate, but for me, only with the windows down. It is indeed very quiet. If I have either the a/c or radio on, I can't even hear the engine during normal driving.

lol wow, im not the expert on turbo caue ive been with s/c my whole life. would exhaust change the way it sounds, maybe turbo exhaust would make it ound a bit louder?

You can't hear the turbo on the Mazdaspeed 3 either.....but it still pulls like a ****, and that's all that matters.

eh, the car is goign to be bad ass, but i was looking forward to it sounding mean too

 

add an after market intake.. it gets really loud.. .... so same goes for the SS/TC add a cai/sri gain 10-20hp and make it sound turbocharged..

how restrictive is the SS/TC intake?

I know the ms3 is extremly restrictive, we see 15 to 25 whp gains with intake..
