Canada Another one bites the dust at PPP!

Happy Canada day! but not for one dude tonight at the park!
this guy on his crotch rocket tonight decided it was a great idea to pull a wheelie for most of the length of the parking lot, and doing so, he wasn't able to see the mustang convertable turning into the parking space beside me! he smashed into the stang doing about 80! all about 6 feet from where I was parked! he hit the stang so hard, he shifted its ass end almost a foot! I figured the kid was dead for sure, but turns out he was ok! unfortunately, the passenger of the mustang was 4 months pregnant, and she was in some considerable distress when the paramedics strapped her to the board and took off. the bike hit just behind where she was sitting on the passenger side!

Its idiots like this who are causing the park to get shut down early! maybe next week we will be getting kicked out at 7 PM! oh well, at least he wasn't killed! I thought for sure he was a gonner!

No offense to you guys, but that's why I don't hang out there anymore. Too many idiots doing burnouts and stuff like that. The lady could have lost her baby, we don't know... so someone could have gotten killed. It's a beautiful spot to hang out, but the idiots ruin it for everyone. I bet there'll be a police presence there more often, and spot checks too. Don't need the hassle. Once the cops start showing up, they'll start giving tickets for tint, mufflers, lights, and so on.

Same here. I very seldom go down anymore.

The main reason why the park is closed earlier and earlier is, just about everyone leaves the park via Young Ave, a street were some of the wealthiest people in Halifax live. There are doctors, judges, councilmen (people) living on that street, people that have more enough influence to get it shut down early because of the cars speeding down their street late at night.

unfortunatly if she losses the baby he cannot be charged for the loss of the child.
according to canadian law a unborn child does not have rights ontil it takes its first breath outside of the womb. thats according to canadian law. but ofcourse there is street law which could be a lot more pain for him

People need to take it easy down there. Every year it seems to get worse. There is always accidents down there and soon enough we won't even be allowed to hang out there and thats been the car place forever.

its just a shame that so few seem to ruin it for so many!! 99.8% of the poeple who take their cars down there on the busy nights (sunday mostly) behave like responsible people! but then there are those who insist on doing burnouts and doughnuts, and have drag races in the middle of the lot with people walking and cars parked everywhere!
I LOVE sitting down there and eyeballing all the nice rides, especially the Balts, of corse! ;O) and I'd hate to see the whole place get shut down to traffic after say 5PM on weekends or something stupid like that!

They'll never actually "shutdown" the park because it is both a known landmark and a public place. You will see some chenges though, and they will be in the form of harassment from the cops. If you're one of the good guys that respects the privelage to be there, make sure your MVI, insurance, registration are all up to date, don't exceed 15Km/h and make SURE all your vehicle mods meet motor vehicle act standards. I guarantee the cops will be enforcing all of these, as well as holding stops at the gate. *HOPEFULLY* the cops will clue in and place random unmarked cars with video cameras, video evidence doesn't lie.

as for the bikers, they dont need to show off like they do, they do it everywhere, it was just that he had his accident at ppp witch makes it look bad.
oh well what can we do?
big ol' parkin lot in sackville avalible, close to a piggy station so the cops would be close on hand for them idiots doing burn outs.

Yah but there is no way I would be going to Sackville if the park shut down. That will go for a lot of people, if the park shuts down everyone will go their seperate ways and there will never be a spot where you can see all the different cars in one place.

yeah the park is sort of an icon for car guys and gals! if they shut it down to traffic at certain times on weekends or whatever, I can't really see any other place assuming the role as a general meeting place. and THAT would suck! its been a gathering spot as long as I can remember!

gonna give it another try this sunday night... hopefully people behave themselves! there were alot of witnesses to the incident on canada day... maybe it left an impact! (pardon the pun)

I know it is mostly a bunch of classics, but don't forget the weekly meet at A&W in woodside, it's a very large gathering of car nuts (enthusiasts). LOL

LoL I was too busy writing a statement for the cops to snap any pics! if anyone knows the guy who drives the red tallon turbo, (he told me his name but I forget-pretty vague, I know! sorry!) I noticed him taking a few shots of the mustang's damage and the various bits and peices that was left of the bike!
