Thinking of Switching GMPP To INjen CAI

As of right now, i've got a GMPP SRI. I am considering changing out for the injen CAI, is there going to be a difference? Well enough that this is going to be worth it? I will be selling my GMPP here w/ less than 2k on it if this is a Go..

bump?

the injen intake is good but i wouldnt sell my gmpp for it. honestly u will feel little or no difference from an intake. it should be treated as a supporting mod. also i must warn ya before you buy it rubs when its in full cold air.

IF my how-to was posted, you would see what I did to my GMPP SRI to make it cold air and quite possibly more power than Injen. But the moderators are slacking ill post you to my other thread though that basically shows you what to do.

You will feel no performance difference between the two.

thats not true, i definitely felt an increase, i think a total of close to 10whp was gained from the GMPP SRI to removing the airbox unbolting that restrictive piece of plastic and rerouting the intake to the bottom of the bumper.

I'd like to see the dyno numbers on that claim. 10 whp is a lot for an intake.

and i want to prove them so bad, i was amazed at what it actually did, i didnt think much would come from it, ill TRY and get a base dyno before i put on the vector box tune and then ill dyno again after that. though it may be like sept or october before this happens

I had problems with my injen rubbing by the front firewall where a little piece of the metal juts out and also with the hole it goes through when entering area by the tire. Way I solved it was by using from rubber tubing that worked amazing. I'll see if I can find the link to the thread I made...

Here it is!

I personally can't tell you if there's a difference between the two cause I've only had the injen but I do love the way it sounds lol.

you guys relize the GMPP is not a SRI its a CAI, it uses the same path for air flow as the stock filter just does it with a larger filter cone placed in the engine bay, it pulls air in from the fender well so its getting cold air, unlike a SRI,
