Should i keep my ss/sc or get a ss/tc or hhr tc
I know there is many of theese threads but currently im going to be going to college and i need something a little better in winter i figured the stability traction control would help that. If i get the ss/tc i dont really want to mod it because its going to be my college car and something i just want to keep it clean and oem maybe little mods like new headlights tint so on so forth but nothing to major. currently my car is a stage 2 with bcp tune 265whp and motor mount no idea on its tq also have rims drilled slotted rotors tint. blacked out headlights etc what do you guys honestly think i should do. The car would either be sport red tint coat or imperial blue

keep your car...buy a beater for winter...spend savings on beer...
seriously its all up to you.. i love mine...and im thinking of a winter beater...only cuz michigan winters can suck....
sport reds cool... but ive all ways been partial to black...

well.. my brother has tc.. and it is pretty nice car, and a bit quicker.. but as far as better in winter i would say goo with hhr.. stilll has turbo not as quick as ss/sc but still gets up and goes. and sounds nice;; looks okay too i guess... The s/tc is def not a winter car, you would have to put winter tires and wheels on too because right now it comes with summer tires.
your entitled to your opinion but i love em and get compliments on them like crazy everywhere i go.
in all honesty though i have been wanting a new car lately getting bored
that chick is my ex slave haha im actually with a girl i care about now (only for u css.net guys)

I can imagine that the tc would be a little better in the winter, with different tires of course. It's probably not going to be much faster than your car. They handle much better.
If winter driving is the only reason save you money and buy a beater or something for the winter.
LoL @ 265 WHP

no lol @ 265 06blackg85ss threw the tune on for me its a custom hp tuners tune and he has done the same mods on another car with the same tune that hit 265whp and i beat a 06 sti stock which was a pretty good kill.
im definately thinkin about the ss/tc but honestly this discusssion is not about my ex just throwing a pic of what i drive now how do you think i will be in the snow.

i really dont know... if you have winter wheels and tires it should do no worse then the ss/sc... but my brother was looking into that and he said that they dont make rims for winter that will fit over the brembo brakes, which means you would be worsed to buy a bigger rim, and smaller winter tire which will cost a lot!!!

I think a 17" rim will fit fine.
anything but the HHR
and i've read that the 18" is as small as you can go over the brembos...if you get a flat in the front you have to put your spare on the rear, and the rear you replaced with the spare on the flat front...so 16" is definately out of the question. and 17 seems to be as well...i should find someone with a TC and check to see if my 17's fit, just to end all the guessing on this topic.

Keep the SS/SC. Honestly you're going to pay more for what? They are very similar cars. The turbo cobalts are sweet but it's just not worth it man.
They'll be almost exactly the same in the winter, just invest in some winter tires for the ss/sc.
