Parts from Canada
lol if ur going to get stuff shipped to u from the united states...it helps if u get the sender to mark it as used parts and that it is a gift..that way..little to zero taxes/duty
that dont work nomore, It use to but they still charge you duty. I find if you ship with usps you will almost never get hit with duty fees. If you ship with ups your almost guaranteed to pay the most duty.
who ever ur buying from in the US and they say there shipping FEDEX or UPS dont even bother buying anything because it will just end up the same price or higher than dealer, USPS is ur best bet, i have never gotten no more than 5$ duttys
anything coming across the border is gonna get nailed now adays. the only things i have been able to get across the border without paying fees is stuff like the cobaltss stickers and key chain. stuff in envolpes don't usually get nailed with fees but anything in a box they rip apart and charge you a fair amount extra for. mrz performance is a canadian company so you may be able to get there product without border fees.
Cheaper in the long run!
i never get nailed for duty or custom fees via USPS.. but FedEx and UPS have nailed me hard over the last little while... and their fees have only gotten worse since the Canadian dollar has gone up.
Some of you guys need to do better research on shipping methods.
The only time your getting nailed by UPS for brokerage is when you use their ground service to Canada.
I've ordered plenty of non-car stuff from the US and used UPS Worldwide expedited service. With the expedited service, brokerage fees are included in the shipping price.
Example. I ordered a golf driver from globalgolf.com in North Carolina on Friday afternoon. I paid $24.95 for UPS expedited service. I had the driver in my hands Tuesday afternoon. I paid the GST on the item value and that was it.
