Does anyone have TTR trans bushings?

I tried to install my transmission mount bushings today and I am not sure these work right on the 08's. The bushing was much bigger in diameter then the OEM one. After many failed attempts at pressing it in, I ended up knocking down the lip on one edge and shaping a bevel on the bushing to aid in sliding the bushing into the mount. I had to take off a good bit of the polyurethane in order to get the bushing to start in the mount. Keep in mind I have a press and I was still having a lot of trouble with this. Once pressed in the bushing was so compressed that it bulged out and looks as if it is about 5/16" - 3/8" too wide for the mount. From the pics I have found of the 05-07 cars, the poly bushings look like they do not bulged out and that they fit close to how the OEM ones did.

All of this makes me think that I either have the wrong bushings or that the 08's have smaller ones the previous years. I did notice that the OEM bushings in my car are different then the ones in the 05-07 SS so that may have something to do with it.

I did mange to get one in today but it is so compressed that I think I may just take it out and put the OEM one back in. Has anyone installed the Turbo Tech Racing poly trans mount bushing on their 08's yet? Did everything go well?

I sent you a reply to your PM. I won't be able to get pics for a while due to my school schedule (19 credit hours sucks). I do have the OEM bushing and the 2nd TTR bushing that I could take some comparison shots of in a day or two. Just looking at them I would say that the TTR bushing is about 1/4" bigger then the OEM one not including the lip. Also, are the 05-07 mounts crowned in the center to hold the bushings in? On my '08 the mount is crowned and that might be part of my problem if the earlier ones were not. However, I had a very hard time just starting it in the mount with the lip removed and a bevel put on it.

From what I saw the 08 mounts are the exact same as the earlier ones, but I could be mistaken. The 05-07 ones are crowned on the inside.

Well that is helpful. These might be the right ones then. I don't think my car would be different but it just seemed so tight. I am still talking with TTR through PM's so we will see if I have the right thing. Thanks!

They are tight as ****, I've had a little trouble pressing them in sometimes, usually with enough of a careful setup and plenty of grease, they go in.

Thats a little more reassuring. I have done other engine and transmission bushings in the past and have never seen any this tight. I guess may have the right ones. I will report back this weekend when I get a chance to do the rear one.
