HPTuners

I've read about HPTuners lately and was just wondering, how good are they and what do the "credits" do? Why do you have to purchase more credits?

Alright so if you can easily tune your car with HPTuners how come are the people not using it and getting trifecta? Easier to do it through vince? Trifecta is much cheaper?

most 2.0's and 2.4's arent using trifecta tuner thing.. there might have vince tune it but they're not using the flash tuner the 2.2's are

Because you can seriously F**k things up if you don't know what you are doing. I have HPTUNERS but I don't have the necessary knowledge nor do I feel comfortable doing it myself thats why i'm paying to fly steve in to houston. you dont need to buy extra credits to tune your car it comes with 8 which is enough to do 4 cobalts or unlimited year and model cobalts. You buy extra credits if you want to tune more cars.

So to sum it up, unless you really know what your doing or your going to pay someone to use it then most likely HPTUNERS is not for you.

So it's just basically more advanced than vince's tunes and you got to do it yourself.

I don't know who vince is but i'm guessing he loads the tune for you, with HPTUNERS you actually have to write the tune so in that aspects its way more advanced. This is not your average hand held tuner or preloaded tune, you actually have to plug your laptop into the car and do all the changes yourself. Its not an easy task you a beginner not saying you are so not pun intended.

Vince is trifecta tuning, he writes it for what you want it and you upload it

atleast you can change simple variables with it, rev limiter, speed limiter, etc... though for the price it's not worth just it just for those couple of things

With HPTuners, you have much greater versatility with changes you can make to the car, you can change a tune whenever needed. For example, you can have a track tune and a dd tune, and also have the ability to change the tune whenever you add another aftermarket part. Many find this much more beneficial than a one time pcm flash.
