Engine Disabled/Power Reduced after trans swap
Engine Disabled/Power Reduced after trans swap
Well, got done with my tranny/clutch swap and went for my test drive. After idling for about 15 minutes I got going in first, grabbed second and pushed the clutch coming up to a corner, as soon as I let it up it died.
The car won't attempt to crank and the dash shows engine disabled and eng pwr reduced.
I've tried disconnecting the battery and turning the key to on and leaving it so far. The electrical connections look good and I'll be getting an OBD2 later tonight, any ideas? This dream car's a nightmare that's driving me to insanity.
Edit: Threw a P2101 and a P1516.
I wiped the 2101, but the 1516 came back, still no crank, engine disabled/power reduced.

p1516 is intake manifold runner control malfunction. that makes no sence tho, was this by chance a b code??? if so
b1516- Seat Driver Occupied Switch Circuit Open
b2102- Head Rest Switch Circuit Failure
these are generic obdII code deffinitions, gm may have other deffinitions for the same code number.

P1516 Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance- ECM, PCM
P2101 Control Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance ECM, PCM
Sounds like you got a bad wire on your throttle body circuit.
Our forum has all of this data if you look for it:

Speaking of throttlebodys, after going over every connector under the hood...
there was a stubby flathead screwdriver JAMMED into the throttle body. I nearly **** a chicken after dropping that cash on a new trans. I guess I should consider myself lucky it didn't make it through into the blades. The only thing left is an ABS light, but I'll fix that later, now to get back all the tools I borrowed
I use a tool caddy and bin boxes to sort bolts, but I had 5 people screwing with the car over the course of the weekend. Live and learn I guess, if they're not a pro and/or sober, don't let them near your car

I'm just gonna go ahead and

myself.
I have no idea how it got there, my guess is it got set down on the car and dropped into the lower intake tube, I had the s/c covered. That and I've never set a tool on a vehicle since my boss threatened to fire me for it
