View Full Version : Oh it's on now...
...ordering the same set-up FAST06SS (G6 wheels/QTP Dr's), my poly control arm bushings came in and we're installing them Wednesday. I'm going to aim high this time, 13.59 w/ a 1.8x 60ft. :) Hopefully my g/f will be in town and someone can actually work the video camera for me.
MarcS 02-21-2006, 12:37 AM good luck :thumb:
DC52NV 02-21-2006, 12:58 AM good luck with that tofu.
eastcoastz 02-21-2006, 01:02 AM Tofu, your hows your clutch holding up? I have the same setup + GM exhaust manifold to a 3" Cat back and my clutch will not hold an agressive 1st to 2nd shift what so ever anymore.

It's holding up very well actually. I've powershifted numerous times in it and I hardly ever experience any slippage. I usually seem to get it when I lose traction badly, the tires will be spinning and then the clutch will start to slip, but I'll let off for a split second to let the tires grab and it usually corrects the problem. I drive like a grandma on the street 99% of the time, so usually the car is babied. I'm not going to upgrade until my clutch goes out, I'm interested to know how much abuse it will take before it goes (lol I've already put the money away for a stg x clutch when it goes out so I'm not caught off guard). :)

Please try to get some pics of the process of installing the control arm bushings.
TimDang 02-21-2006, 08:47 AM Biggest bitch is getting them out, but on a new car it shouldn't be that bad. I changed my control arm bushings and leaf spring bushings on my 90 gmc, took WEEKS to get them out. I ended up ruining both control arms and just bought tubular ones anyway. PITA

Cool!! I'll be going saturday to the track so it is ON! :twothumbs I fear wheel-hop will keep me from running though :thumbsdow
As for those QTP's, start at 22psi and if they spin, go down in 1psi increments, but no lower than 16psi ;)
Now a word of prayer for your clutch!
05_Blue_B10WN_SS 02-23-2006, 09:28 PM Say bye bye to that stock clutch when those tries bite. Should be interesting tofu, i see you accomplishing your mission if you get in on the first 2-3 runs, but after that i think somethings gonna be burning and slipping :P
