ive got the airbox mod and a straight through exhaust w/no muffler I wanna get 14.3, not saying I will but still gives me a goal and honestly see it poss. then im going to get intenses kit if gms isnt out yet!

With a 2.2 60ft that run would have been a 14.2 roughly, all you have to do is practice, make sure your tire preasure is around 25psi or less, see what works for you.

Honestly I would suggest drag radials for the track, get a set of BFG Drag Radials and you wont be dissapointed, only problem is trying to find the correct size wheel. Do you mean the 16" G6 wheels?

The tire companies give recommended tire pressures for a reason, BECAUSE THAT IS THE LEVEL THAT TRACTION IS BEST!!! Why in the world would they recommend a tire pressure that would not be optimal for traction??? come on guys common sense... yes a few pounds would help slightly but you dropped them to 20??? thats idiotic on a tire with a recommended pressure of 50psi. Dont believe me? I run consistent 2.2-2.3 60 foot times with a best of 2.24, on guess what... 45PSI!!! come on guys lets get with it

just to give some reference, i dropped my 60ft. dramatically with dropping my tire pressure. the track here on guam is unprepped unlike the states. they don't use vht or anything. so the only traction you get is with slicks, even radials don't hardly get traction. i was pulling 2.7-2.9 60fts. with goodyear eagle rs-a's on my ralliart, i lowered to 20psi and i get very consistent 2.4's now with an occasional 2.3
it's really hard to get any traction especially on all season tires, but they said they are going to be spraying vht down soon so maybe i'll cut a 2.1-2.2 and get a better time.

A far as getting traction, poly control arm bushings along with a poly motor mount will do more than any set of rims and tires. our biggest traction problem is wheel hop. Wheel slip can be controlled much easier and you can still move foward while peeling out. If you are wheel hopping you might as well be driving backwards. A new set of tires and rims might help the wheel hop a little bit, but the poly mounts will all but kill it. THEN you can think of getting a new set of rims and tires, but I'd wait untill you get the Intense kit or some other serious power package. Hell, look at tofu. That fool ran a 13.8 with a 2.0 60ft on the stock tires and stock rims. Why...because he changed some of his mounts to poly. Also, if you did manage to cut something like a 2.0-2.2 60ft with that 100 mph trap, that woulda been damn close to a 13.0 sec run.
Oh yeah, please, for god man, sake put a muffler on your car before the Payson run. Either that our you're riding in the back of the pack, that thing is intollerable.
