CEL after crash, dealership fixed it, it's back on. HELP
i have a DC sports exhaust and it was running fine with any CEL, i hit a curb with my left front tire and now the CEL is on, dealership fixed it once and it turned on again before i left the shop, they said they'll try to fix it under warranty but if its only exhaust codes they cant fix it under warranty because of my DC sports exhaust. they said it cuold take several hours to locate and fix. Only i know the code wasnt on before i hit the curb, i checked my heat sheild and the exhaust hits it when it swings left, i fixed this, unplugged my negative and reconnected it, then started the car and it's still on. my question is, what else can i do?
and where is the EMS 10amp under the hood? i checked all the fused in the box and they're all intacted and nothing said EMS or !0 amp, on said EXH 10a but tht wasnt pushed up. HELP

what code is it throwing??? did the dealer actualy scan it and give you a report, or are they just saying its cause of the exhaust??? if you have a cat, it an aftermarket exhaust wont throw a code. being you werre in a collision and the CEL is now only on after that, id say its something related to that, but without a code number i cant tell ya

they didnt tell me the code, they said they fixed it and it was all exhaust codes, and said if i wanted them to scan it again they couldnt garuntee doing it under warranty because of my exhaust, i have stock heaers/dp
BS, a cat-back has nothing to do with a single emission related issue. it doesn't even have anything to do with emission, it is simply a route for exaust gases to go from the Cat to the rear of the vehicle. stock header and dp leads me to believe 02s are still in place. so tell them to suck it, i know my dealer wouldn't deny you, they love guarenteed work(warrenty work)
my .02
my .02
id find an independent shop and have them scan it and give you the code number. that or find someone with an abd2 code reader. they are giving you a bullshit excuse. i bet it isnt even anything o2 sensor related.
