just got my oil changed.

just got my oil changed.

i took my car into the dealership to get my oil changed the other day because ive been strapped for cash lately and i get free oil changes for life. but i noticed today it says my oil life is at 0%. any reason? the receipt says they changed the oil and all filters.

yeah they didn't reset it, Turn the key towrds you and hit the gas pedal

they just never reset it i think you press and hold the 2 info buttons for 3-5 sec its in your manual

correction turn the key to the ignition on and hit the gas pedal 3 times then start it

I personally never had any luck with the tapping the pedal trick, however turning the car on (without starting it) then holding back and info for 3-5 seconds then releasing will bring up the settings, you can then hit info(or return) to cycle through the settings (if needed). When you get to Oil Life Reset, hold down the back button for a couple seconds and it'll say Acknowledged. Problem solved.

This is on an 08, your mileage may vary.

There is your problem.

You must push the pedal to the floor 3 times in a fairly quick manner.

I always just go to oil life in my DIC, and then I hold the reset button, just like setting a trip odometer
