How much is this Cobalt worth?

Hi everyone,

I'm unfortunately selling my 06 Cobalt SS Supercharged. Its a G85, sunroof, side curtain airbags, xm , onstar, with GM stage 2 kit. It is dealer maintained, never winter driven with only 21,000kms and in mint condition, how much would you ask for it in Canadian dollars?

Thanks

Agreed... maybe a little less...

I paid 14200 (us, thats + interest too) for mine... only difference is no onstar (xm ready though), a little bit more milage and no g85 and stage 2...

I currently have a 2006 chevy cobalt with a bunch of mods, almost 38k miles, in excellent shape and I am asking 17k obo. Figure I put in about 3 grand, maybe i can get SOME of it back if i sell it for 16 or so.

although, i would never sell my baby, it was just a random thought.

I have an 06 SS/SC G85 w/ LSD recaro's, pioneer system, side airbags, sunroof, and stage 2.

42,000 miles on it. Mechanically in 100% shape. I do have a small dent on the side door, and some scratches at the bottom of the front bumper.

If I were to trade my car in, what would the dealership offer me? Ive been looking at the Mazda 3's and Mazda Speed 3's, and would hope to get some money to put towards one.

My car is highly modded tho, which I know means nothing to a dealership.

HID's, Intake, Header, Exaust, header, high flow CAT / DP. Brand new Tires, and brand new brake pads as of 2 weeks ago. Aeroforce interceptor gauge, Tint, Chrome Grills, etc.

I probably would be better off putting all the stock exaust systems, and parting off which I may do.

ill make this easy on you guys, dont bring the car to the dealership. I talked to a guy when i was looking at buying a 08 EVO. He said u wont get much at a dealership, do private sale. You will get alot more cuz of the mods you put on the car. OR take all your parts off, sell them and then sell you car.

To the newfoundland ss guy, Canadian msrp was 4k more than us pricing so we can tend to ask a little more. They're going dirt cheap in ontario but they hold their value a little better in the maritimes. I would ask 20 and expect a price of around 18.

To Xenozx, 1- I'd reconsider getting the mazdaspeed3 as its not really much of an improvent unless your into it for the 4-door hatchback body or its looks if thats your thing. If you trade your car in they wont give you very much at all, your better off selling it private sale but through the dealer. That way the mazda dealer can finace your buyer, and the full sale price will get put towards your new car including the tax savings that you would get from trade-in. Depending on what the potential buyer wants out of the car you could probably see a bit more money by parting out your mods. However some people would pay more for a nice, cleanly modded car.

im kinda liking the interior of the speed3, and even the reg mazda 3. I wish they carried over heated seats to teh Speed 3 like they have in the regular 3. They did like recaro's in the speed 3.

I think the speed 3 would attract less attention, and the 4 doors would definately be nice. Also its under 25 fully loaded, and w/ turbo back and an intake puts down close to 300WHP. W/ a boost controller and cobb kit, 325ish. I can do all that for under 2 G's.

Right now its a question of gas prices/milage. In a reg mazda 3 I can put in reg gas, and get up to 30mpg, where in the speed its premium and 26 tops. I average 23 in my SS/SC now, so I guess that wouldnt be a big change, but it would really suck if something happend and gas prices hit $5 a gallon....

only problem with selling to a third party is you have to do everythign yourself, take time out of your day to let them test drive, and take a chance they wont buy. Also, gotta let someone else drive your car, and if they suck at stick then
