Aside from the CEL my K&N is fine.
I fixed that with a maf offset device so I don't get the CEL anymore. The CEL is almost like your car telling you the intake is actually allowing more air into the engine.

I've got an '05 and I had a bugger of a time getting the Injen to fit, had to rig it, and it still pushes both the bumper and the wheel shroud out. Did they even test fit these on Cobalts, or did they fit one on a Redline and assume it would fit all LSJ's?

Almost everyone has fitment issues with the Injen
im not worried about my dealer... he is offering to do cheap labor on every install that i can't perform myself... he wants to see over 300hp just like me... so the dealer don't bother me....
I have the K&N filter I have the light but it was easy as heck to install took less than an hour. Also keep in mind that the variance on the amount of air extra its allwoing intot he motor is enough to throw the code but not enough to actually harm the motor in any way, shape or form. My cousin is a tech at the GM dealer i take my SS for service to and he sees this all the time and also says the issue will be resolved soon so for fitment and ease of use i prefer the K&N as i have have tried the injen and gave up with b/c of fitment issues.
