has anyone put the JBP 2.4 tri flow cams inthere balt im intrested in them

 

G5 Mike did...was a horror story. He doesn't even own the car anymore......

If you're really interested in cams the best thing you can do for yourself is learn how to use HPTuners...or have a friend that is GOOD with it.

These engines are not like earlier engines -- can't just change internals and expect them to run better. Computer controls too much!

 

Another member other then Mike did. I can't remember the name but it went well for him. He said his car was pretty damn fast.

 

I will be doing cams and head work by January. I'm ordering parts next week

 

I 'd when I saw that you ran a ranger in the 1/4 mile track. I have a '98 ranger that I'm riding around in for the winter.

 

Remind everyone that his issues becane with a bad install done by a "buddy" then i believe after that he had a broken lifter...at the end of the day he said it ran like a champ once everything was fixed.

Right, buddy installed, bent valves, got that fixed and found a broken rocker, got that fixed and took him a long time to get it tuned. Now he doesn't even own the car anymore.

I didn't say he couldn' do it -- but is it worth it if you can't get it tuned?

 

I agree best gains will be seen with a tune. But when you said horror story i didn't want people thinking there was something wrong with the cams and that was what caused him to sell the car when it was an install problem that started all the problems he had.
