If GM goes belly up we all can install Stage X since we wont have to worry about a warranty

What happened when Daewoo went under. That should give us an answer.

Daewoo became Chevrolet overseas.

So that means GM will be renamed Chevrolet which would kick ass.

If they go Bankrupt, that will not necessarily mean they go out of business. There are big company bankruptcy laws stating that the company can still manufacture at a reduced rate. But they "can" operate at a loss but not for long.

That's the best thing that could happen in all honesty.

Bankruptcy doesn't mean GM disappears. It means they restructure. Some debt is forgiven, other debt is restructured. It allows them to restructure and make adjustments in other areas that should allow them to better manage operating costs.

Chrysler has already been through bankruptcy once in the late 70s/early 80s.
