i was at a car show over the weekend and saw a lightning. Got to talkin and he said he was running a 50/50 alcohol/water in his H/E! i didnt misunderstand, he wasnt running meth inj. he said his iat's were very low compared with 50/50 water/coolant. what im getting at here is is it ok? will it corode the system? (im not a great speller)

 

In the summer months, straight H2O does wonders on IAT's in the H/e

 

I don't think the I/C pump would like it to much. It might decide to throw a bitch fit and take a **** on you.

 

I will be switching to water and/or water wetter this coming summer. Right now it's 17 degrees outside... not exactly the time of year to be running straight water in the H/E

You also should run some coolant or an additive to keep the water pump lubricated and also to aid with corrosion.
