members please help! my brakes!
to start off its my first time doing a brake job on a cobalt. i followed the how to on how to change rotors and pads. i just installed stop tech slotted rotors with hawks hps pads for both rear and front. i took it for a drive and it doesnt stop anywhere near as good as stock did. the brake pedal goes too far down than before the brake fluid is nearly at max level line. i know i followed instructions only thing im not sure of is the rears. i did use that cube tool to turn the pistons in for the rears and lined up the piston grooves to mate the brake pads. one thing i noticed that was weird was when i went to screw back in the caliper pistons on the rears i had a harder time screwing it in... being that the other side was turning while i was screwing in the bolts. if u know what i mean by that? is there any ideas what i should do?
yes i did but i didnt do the parking brake thing where im suppose to engage it and disengage it over and over im gonna try that!
that fixed it yessssss!!!! thanks guys
