Exclamation Dealership Christmas Miracle? Ticking Noise

I just took in my 2005 SS/SC for a ticking/rattling noise to Glendora Chevy.

They told me my cars warranty expired october, and my car is also heavily modified.

come to find out after 2 days of waiting that they ordered a new supercharger? under warranty!??? even tho mine has a smaller pulley, and it is ported and polished?

WTF?!?
The guy said i owed him a beer lol?

I guess i cant complain right?

Only problem i find myself in is if they do not put the old pulley back on since my car is tuned for an 2.85.

Guess i will find out...

CHRISTMAS MIRACLE?
anyone have similar experiences?

Grats on getting free warranty work that will cost you around $900 to get the new SC back to the way the old one was. BTW, the rattling sound is normal, if it's what I think you're talking about.

Why would it cost 900? Please justify that?

that's what happens when you're not a dick. if you went in yelling and screaming they wouldn't have done that i bet. many of the guys at the dealers are cool, and are into cars, so they understand. but if you're an ******* you won't get any help.

i had a broken axle ficked with a 2.9 on the car.

Yeah, i told him that i just got new tires and i haven't even got a change to lay into them, i told him to take it for a spin and have some fun and see how they grip lol.

Ill just call him and tell them that there is a Gm stage 2 pully on there and its tuned for it, hopefully they will just swap it on and all should be well.

The port and polish job. I assumed you had it done at Stiegemeier's.

I was off on my pricing - I guess it's only $700 plus shipping.

That is awesome that you got it fixed, maybe he was just being nice and giving you a break.... I had a similar problem with mine, but not the same situation. The dealer fixed a different problem with the car, and I started it and it started to make the same sound. The salesman heard it, told me to keep the rental, and took the keys from me, then he said "Ill call you when its ready." hahahaha

The SC shouldnt come with a pulley, correct me if I am wrong, becuase you have a different hub on it than stock. Also when you get it back check the tune. I got mine back after they replaced my TB and they re tuned it back to Stage 2 becuase they said it was incorrectly tuned.. haha
