Smallest drop on the SS/TC, just springs

Not looking to drop it to the ground, would rather find a slight drop to make the gaps more uniform (larger drop in the back). Hell if there was a kit that only dropped the front .5 inches and the back a little more than that, I would be all over it. Any body know of a kit with that minimal of a drop? thanks

bump....... anyone able to list how much drop they got off their kit for the ss/tc?

eibach is subtle. H&R is extreme, as is Tenzo R's. Progress arent too bad, but you get what you pay for.

well the kit comes with both springs however your ride qualitiy would be abit better if u left the stock springs on, i just dont know if its good driving around with rear aftermarket and front stock. Guess it doesnt matter

Ksport drops 1.2" in the rear and .7" inches or so in the front. I had them on my SS S/C and they fit the T/C. I liked them and they gave it a nice "uniform" look front and back.

Here is a pic:

Here is a link to the springs:

No the springs on the TC and the SC are not the same, but any spring designed for any Cobalt will fit all Cobalts.

If you enjoy how well your TC handles, I'd recommend you avoid modifying the suspension. There isnt an off the shelf part out there that performs better than whats on the car fresh from Ohio.

Well I haven't driven a T/C but my SS S/C with my coilovers (from off the shelf) handles a lot better then the stock suspension did.

The only suspension or steering parts that the TC and the SC share are the sway bar endlinks and the steering wheel.

Eibach pro kit I think is what you would be looking for.

I have the BC Coilovers. They are really good and have adjustable dampening.

Ah ok. But the drop springs will fit any of the Cobalts correct?

Another option is Pedders springs. They will lower a cobalt front and rear by about 20-25mm.

I would listen to Maven...my man knows his ****....

I would wait until an ss/tc SPECIFIC kit comes out, whether it be just springs or full coilovers. The car will look gorgeous dropped, however, the ride quality and handling will not be as good as stock. As far as stock suspensions go, the ss/tc suspension will be very very hard to improve upon.

Bottom line...if you care about looks, then go for it, but if you also care about ride quality and handling, I would hold out until something specifically hits the market for it

just my .02
