local dyno tuner did a SS/TC..........great results

Local guy did a SS/TC. Said it had aftermarket turbo, intercooler etc but retained the STOCK fueling system and full exhaust.

These are fantastic numbers for the stock components, even though there is a bigger turbo. I can't wait for the numbers after a full exhaust and cutout!

Pump Gas
24-25 PSI
18 degrees of timing
0 Knock
Coolant temps were 210 degrees during the pulls.
A/F still needs some attention

371.4whp
374.1wtq

PS: NO way a mkv GTI can get these numbers with the factory fuel system or exhaust.

He didn't say what turbo.

The factory turbo, intercooler, and plumbing is all gone. It now has a prototype turbo kit that was done by a shop here in Ohio using a newly designed turbo and intercooler from precision. This car maintains the factory fuel system. What is even more impressive is the exhaust is totally stock from the factory down pipe to the back. It still retains the factory cats. The car is coming back in two weeks with a 3 inch down pipe and a cut-out. It will be interesting to see how the power increases along with the spooling of the turbo.

needs a bigger turbo.

p.s. the car will shut down if anything over 23psi is sustained

very true.. you should be hitting those numbers at about 19-20 psi .. that and like area said if you sustain over 23 psi for too long it'll go int over boost limp mode

i wouldn't consider a car with an aftermarket turbo, intercooler, and piping to be "stock components". Also, i could be wrong because i'm not very familiar with direct injection and how it works, but if my understanding is correct it can be used for a while until an upgraded pump is required. if that's true, i'm not shocked that that it's still on stock fuel systems.

Well coming from the GTI's 2.0T FSI, it gets fuel cuts on some stg 2 cars (just a chip and full exhaust) and requires a higher flow HPFP. Also, to acheive over 320ish whp on the GTI, it will require injectors (I think, not certain).

Getting this kind of power on the stock fuel system is impressive. Just because it is FSI, direct injection, it doesn't mean that the larger turbo won't max out the flow of the injectors/fuel pump. It is just like anything else, it is designed to a specific flow rate, and if required to do more than it is capable of, you will get fuel cuts and decreased performance.

I don't know any detailed info on the ss/tc engine, just letting you know what a local guy is doing.

the lnf starts to run out of fuel, rather Ms around 360-365 whp. direct injection runs the injectors at a different idc than conventional style. so going off the "idc" tables in hpt won't work.
