I want the HID lighting, but I like the stock headlights so can I throw like 8k HID bulbs/lights in the stock housing?

I know, lol. I personally don't care, it's his car, but there's a fair number of people here who like to bitch about HIDs in stock lights.

yes it is. reflectors=stock. (the mirror like bulb surround.)

projectors=aftermarket

It's dangerous and against the law in a lot of provinces/states. If your going to do something, don't do it half assed... do it right and get projectors or retro's.

You need some retrofit headlights

What your looking to get are some retrofit headlights using stock housing. These can be a little pricy but you get what you pay for. And they will look 10x better than HIDs in stock reflector headlights. Here are some that I have done:

PM me if your interested.

could i get pulled over for this?

and ive heard a bunch of different things so just to make sure, i can just buy some 10k HID bulbs and simply replace them with the stock bulbs? nothing else?

and if its reallly that bad i would probably just tint my headlights

Yup. I'm doing those too but I'm getting them at vvme.com. My only problem is that I'm currently working on a project with stock headlights. So I gotta see which headlights I'm gonna like first and then choose my hids

yea but I think HID is H1/H7

I got 9007 projectors and had to drill a bigger hole for the H1 HID kit.

no for stockers its a 9007 and if you still want a high beam then you gonna have to get a bi-xenon kit. h7 is for the 2nd gen low beams and h1 is for 1st and 3rd gen low beams

^now that sounds like some legit information. Bi-xenon are still as bright as the regular single HID right. I dont really understand how those ones work. Are the high beams a filament bulb from them?

yea there is actually two different types of bi-xenon thou. they are both just a bright but one type has a small halogen bulb made to the hid bulb and the other is just a hid bulb with a lil mechanical hood over it that slides back when you flip the high beams on so that the whole bulb shines.

sorry there is actually three types. one actually has two hid bulbs built into one.
