I was driving around low on fuel and the warning came on. I then thought about how many gallons were in the tank at that time..

So in the event I am nowhere near a station, how many gallons are actually in the tank by the time the warning goes on?


Anybody have an answer to this?

 

When it's low on gasThe longest i've gone when the light came on was 20 miles.It's not a good idea to let it get that low though.

mine comes on right around 2-3 gallons. by the time i get to the gas station i usually fil up at about 10 gallons give or take.

 

i thought it was 1-2 gallons....

Yeah you really don't want to go to low or you will cause damage to the pump no reason not to fill up at 1/4 you still pay the same on gas no matter when you fill it up.

 

Usually when the light comes on in mine and I fill up I usually put in about 11 gallons so Im assuming like 2 gallons and the light will come on.

 

mine has come on when there are ~2 gallons left

 

MY car has never seen low haha...doubt it will either.

 

usually when you are getting low on gas! I've never understood the logic of I have 2 more gallons... just go get some gas!

 

The manual says it comes on once the tank hits 2.1 gallons left, the tank is 13.2 gallons.
