hey everyone, i'm josh i live in NY and i just baught an 08 Cobalt Sport 2.4L


Theres no engine mods done to it, i dont dare touch it, i put nokya blue headlight bulbs on it, and a motor fuse blew and it's now in the shop for the week while a new fuse is ordered... is there a reason new cars are so touchy?? lol

 

either you really have a base with some ss rims or you got screwed with a base model front bumper. where did you get your car?

Welcome to the site, and I hope you atleast check what engine was under the hood. Cuz that to me looks like a base modle with some SS wheels, skirts and a sport rear bumper.

That looks like what happened, if you notice he has the sideskirts and everything else.

 

if it was actually a base and someone went through all the trouble to put all pieces together wouldn't you think they would have gotten the front bumper to finish it off? Looks like a Sport that probably had some bumper damage from a minor front end crash and then was replaced with a base model front. either way it shouldn't be like that. engine pics now!

Yeah, and even color matched mirrors. If you bought that from a dealer take it back and demand you get the right front bumper haha

 

its got the orange egg yolk headlights that were 05-06 only as well....im voting it was crashed and fixed wrong

and the middle grille is missing as well

does the SS spoiler bolt right in the same place as the sport spoiler?? i want to buy one but i dont want to have to drill any holes in my trunk..

 

yes the ss spoiler bolts right up to ur trunk it work on any cobalt coupe and welcome to the site

 

wrong. his bumper would not have the ss/sc lip on it.

 

lol, you do know that 2.2L and 2.4L have different lug patterns right? Theres no way a dealership would go through that trouble to put ss rims on a 2.2L.

 

You dont need to go on the defense here, we believe you, just trying to tell you that your dealer screwed you on your front bumper dude and that you should go back and get the sport bumper.
If I were you I would be thankful that all of these people are telling you that your front bumper is wrong so that I could go get it fixed and get what I paid for, but hey, thats just me.

 

that cars been in an accident, i hope whoever u bought it from told you that man. Those are the wrong headlights and bumper for that car

Also another problem, if u look in his photo gallery, his trunk lid has the SS badge on it, im very curious on the history of this car
