Like I said. Get it checked out by an independent front end shop.

Headlights just don't just blow fuses, and high beam switches shouldn't blow the other headlight. I'd get the wiring looked at too.

So what? Im 20, it doesnt matter if your 15, its the LAW that they have to tell you of any accidents that car has been in. If they neglect to tell you that and sell you a car with the wrong front end then they would be held liable to some degree.

The biggest thing going against them is not telling you about the accident, based on that alone they would probably give you a new front end so you dont report them. They can get in HUGE **** for selling you a car with an accident on its record and not tell you. So i fail to see why you being 20 and your first car would stop you from bitching them out for ******* you over on a car.

VIN 1G1AM18B887143827
Year/Make/Model: 2008 CHEVROLET COBALT SPORT
Body Style: COUPE
Engine Type: 2.4L L4 MPI DOHC 16V
Manufactured In: UNITED STATES

Granted they are talking about front end damage But if you have an SS trunk lid on a Sport it sounds like that car was in the middle of a car 3 way im betting it was slammed on both ends. Don't let this problem sit too long or you may have no legal recourse. Unless you like perpetually changing fuses and searching for that pesky short and mystery problems.

It seems to me like the dealership is full of BS. I would get it checked out at a GM dealership if that isnt the dealer u bought it from.

thats a good way of looking at it, if you keep getting blasted about it just remember what Brennan Huff said,"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but I will kick you repeatedly in the *****!"

For your own piece of mind, I would get it checked out. Secondly, I do not know what sort of consumer protection laws you may have in your state, but the fact that the dealership claims ignorance is not your problem. It is their problem with whoever they purchased the car from. Their negligence to exercise due diligence when they aquired the car is their problem.

I strongly suggest that you request the assistance of a mature, confident, knowledgeable adult, (father, elder brother, uncle?) who can assist you in your fight. As a previous poster stated, if you are encountering problems now, what may happen down the road? Especially, if you are still making car payments, and don't have any excess cash to pay for repairs.

VIN: 1G1AM18B887143827
Vehicle: 2008 CHEVROLET COBALT SPORT
Records: 7 records found in the CARFAX Vehicle History database

Straight from carfax. Im not trying to pay to see what the history is on your car but Im also not trying to see someone get ripped off for no reason. I would bet at least one of those records is an accident. You should definitely investigate the history of this car and see if you have the potential to receive some kind of reparation.

Pay the $30 to get a carfax history, if there is an accident on there and the dealership didnt tell you then they are completely liable, doesnt matter if they recieved it that way, they also sold it that way

When I put in the vin it said there were 7 records on that vehicle but I don't have an unlimited account so I can't view the record.
