i think the vibrant sounds like ass on a ss/sc, especially a 3". sounds like a wheedwhacker. loud as ****, and pretty raspy. may not be as bad without the header and downpipe, but if you plan on adding them personally i don't think it sounds good at all.

nope. he has a ss/sc

out of curiosity, what mods do you have that required going to a 3" exhaust?

No, its going to sound completely different. A lot louder and raspy.

Very high quality part though.

a supercharged car's exhaust sounds more like an NA car's exhaust than a turbo car's exhaust. Both supercharged and NA cars dont have a turbine in their exhaust to help muffle the sound.

I have it on my 06 ss/sc. It's the LOUDEST exhaust I have ever heard on a cobalt. When I first put it on it seemed to rattle against the floor board but has since stopped.

Very good quality, however it will be one of the louder systems out there...

Do you think adding A RESONATOR to the exhaust is a good idea for a more quiet sound? Or will it just mess up the quality?

get a resonator. mine sounds amazing. its really quiet and makes for an amazing sleeper. I went w/ the 3 inch bc of my currents mods and also planing on the tvs soon. but i like the sleeper feeling.

Read the whole thread Some people don't have that spinny thing in their exhaust that acts like a muffler.

On another note .... I just installed a CA 2.5 Catted DP to my GMPP touring exhaust and it too loud for me lol. I couldn't deal with a 3'' exhaust on a SC.

I love the three inch but I did have to modify slightly to make sure it would touch and therefore create a rattling or vibration
