hid question

i would like to install a pair of hid lights in my car but like others i have my eye set on the 60$ ebay specials.. my question is
do i have to have the relay or will the digital ballast and the bulbs work just fine. i did search but only became more confused so please no flamming and help.

I've got a set from 3BSPEC. I love them. But HID's in stock housing unit...

Gotta get projectors.

you could always take the time to do a retrofit, which i just did one and it wasnt wayyyy to difficult, just research, and about 400 dollars.

also you wil get pulled over for putting HIDS in a a car that has that much glare.

You can still run the risk of getting pulled over even if you do a true retrofit, in some states.

im not a fan boy of practicality. i dont even care if you buy a knock off halo projectors that they make for our cars atleast its better then just throwing a bulb and ballist in a car and then your blinding an old lady on the road and she cant see if something is infront of her.

its about other peoples safety on the road. you can enjoy your whip and making sure its enjoyable for others too.

^well looks like HIDS are comin from ebay

iv seen a cobalt and they turned the HID's on and i stood in front of the car and the glare wasnt blinding the **** out of me. Cobalts are low cars, and plus mines gonna be dropped on sportlines soon, so I dont think too much light is gonna be bouncing off poeples faces. Its not like im installing HID's in lifted Ford F150 in stock housings. Our headlights are like 2 feet off the ground. Give me a break.

Have any of you ACTUALLY been driving down the road and been blinded by a chevy cobalt with HID's properly aimed in stock housings? or are you just generalizing about all HID's in stock housings no matter what.

Dont even answer that cause i dont care. lol. I know theres gonna be 1 guy....

they wont blind anyone as long as you aim them down just a hair from where they are now. cobalt stockers doesnt produce very much glare like say a 03-07 classic silverado will.
