I am so butthurt right now. My car is really rice? I guess my oem highrise and small pinstripe are race inspired. My blue fog light bulbs I guess should come out because there not a performance part and thats just unnecessary. And painting over the silver dash trim!? thats concerning becuase it may cause more glare causing a safety concern. My car club decal should probobly come off too because it blocks the very corner of my window and if some1 was their I may not see them and thats HUGE SAFETY concern.

You my friend deserve a medal for pointing out true rice and having the maturity and pride to compare a fellow forum members taste with a mispelled dinner side. Because of your noble words I shall look into purchasing a real car. I shall discard this toy I have now, for it is an unworthy machine that should not have any time wasted on it. In fact, why am I even posting on a Cobalt web site if cobalts are not even real cars.

Well, Thank you for contributing your two cents, I will quickly disregard them and label you as a dusche bag. I will forever continue to rice out my cobalt the way I see fit and enjoy my car more then you have enjoyed anything in the entirety of your miserable life. For you like to blend in with everyone else and are afraid to think outside the box, I am not concerned with people like you.

*Sigh* I cannot tell you how many times I have said no to HID's in a stock housing unit. Yes, there are cars that use them from the factory but the reflector housing from the factory was made specifically for a reflector housing to reduce the glare spots. Also, the bulb has painted sections to also help reduce glare. You might be able to walk 20 feet in front of yoour car and say, "they don't glare" but what about oncoming traffic from hundreds of feet away? The glare spots are horrible from I'd say 75 feet to farther away.

Also, a lot of you are saying cops don't care, but it still does not make it legal. Just because you pass a cp does not mean that your headlights didn't do anything. Maybe he is responding to a call, or maybe he just doesn't want to hassle with someone who thinks HID's in a stock unit are legal. As of right now, pulling someone over for their headlights because they are bright is more than likely going to result in an argument or just more trouble than it's worth. But once they make it to where is is a criminal offense, and not a civil infraction, I bet you will be seeing more and more people getting pulled over for it. And it is coming.

What about the legal headlights that can't shine for sh*t? Or how about the legal truck headlights and legal truck HIDs that blind drivers and occupants of smaller vehicles? I made the mistake of looking into my mirror when a Cadillac Escalade was behind me... all I saw was a blinding white light. I couldn't even see the front sidemarker, the grille, or even what kind of vehicle it was until it passed me.

FIrst of all, this is Gestapo's pulpit (LOL!) . He is always up here fighting for the non-projector w/ HID bunch. I think that is pretty admirable. I actually have HIDs in projector housing and it was a PITA to put together my kit. In the end, it suits me better though.

For the OP, I would only get the HID kit with a relay harness if you have an 07+. I think they are to keep the HIDs from flickering b/c your DRL fuse on the 07+ cars. I know about putting HIDs in a car with projectors (gen 1) if u have questions.
