I preordered my SS/SC the 1st week of october for the free moonroof and XM radio promotion they had going on...My dealer which is the biggest Chevy dealership in southwest PA(Pittsburgh) and happens to be one of those dealers from PA that have one of the 12-15 red SS/SC's right now...just got an allocation for 3 SS/SC's early last week...and that dealer is huge with high sales...what about everybody else on here...post your preorder date then your dealers allocation date...mine is preorder oct 5th 2004 and allocation march 9th 2005...that will help us figure out who just might be getting their SS/SC the quickest!

Nobody has given their dealers allocation date...if your dealer doesnt have an allocation...GM wont accept your order...then your preorder is gonna be sitting there along time with no activity.

 

Most people don't know their dealers allocation date, and further, a lot of dealers don't bother to share the exact date. But more importantly, every dealer in the US has been given at least one allocation by now. If they sell more than 10 vehicles a month, they've probably been given 2 or 3.

Don't sweat the small stuff, the point is to see where everybody is in waiting for their SS/SC. I'm as anxious as the rest of you and I don't even get to keep mine. I've got to sell it to somebody else.

as of last friday. THe general manager made a call to GM friday afternoon to inquire why they didn't get an SS allocation yet, and yesterday I got a call with a tentative build date for my car.........

Nah, 5-speeds have been out for over a month now, my dealership has a few, had a yellow coupe in early February there.
