Bad Gas?

I was cruising down the highway approaching my exit when i decided to accelerate a little to get ahead of a semi that wouldnt let me over. press the pedal a little, accelerate for a second, then my engine shuddered and just died. would not restart. pull on to the berm trying to get her to turn over again and all she does is shudder violently. call for a tow, truck comes, drops me off at the house, figured i'd give it one last try. Who knows, maybe the bumpy ride shook some dirt loose. turn the ignition and success! she comes to life, leading me to believe its just the gas. thoughts? oh, no CEL btw

this does sound like a ignition coil possibly crank shaft position sensor problem. I have seen CKP and CMP sensors go bad when they reach a certain temperature.

Not to agree with Brickloaf, but a battery that is run down by a bad alternator/other charging issue but is otherwise ok, will recover some voltage after sitting/cooling down for a little while.

Oh boy i started on rm80's then moved up to yz125's. Ive probably had about 6 of each. used to get a new one every year. Raced 125A "pro class". Do you live in upper mich? ever hear of redbud?

Sounds more like a coil to me

i agree cuz when my sensor's went bad i had no shudder before it died and u will get a cel idk if this is true but i was told u can drive with one of the 2 sensors bad (crank shaft and camshaft) and it wont shut off but when both go bad it will shut off

Could be a fuel pump. They can be fun like that. Dies on you then starts up again later. Hope it's not though. They can be pricey
