Tune...intake...downpipe...charge piping....will be under 2k. Wouldnt do anything else more if this is your daily driver...these mods will give you the power and the sound your looking for.

how about what the others have said plus a new clutch because it sounds like after the tune on most cars, the clutch slips a bit

then some new tires because everyone has traction problems with a tune. Stomping the go pedal = tire fire in 1st and 2nd

You have no idea about the non-traction I'm getting with a tune, LOL. 2.3 60' time, 9.1 in the 1/8 mile @ 84.4mph!!

You talking about me? I figured 8.7 or so with the stock tires on it, then with DR's atleast an 8.5, maybe faster.

Youd have to add charge piping in there too. Im no expert, but that sounds like its going to be more than 2k...especially with the mods youll need to be able to hook at all.

When asking what mods to do that "won't be harmful to your car", as far as GM is concerned ... there are none.

GM Certified upgrades are only available for the top line SS in the supercharged vehicles.

So you have to decide whether or not you're willing to completely void your powertrain warranty altogether if something goes wrong.

Those monster hp kits for the SS/T might look nice on paper, but if you break something, GM will send you walking.

Just FYI ...

If you abuse your car and break something They will say you are SOL too. Just be smart about things and dont beat on your car. Stock or modified you will break things eventually. A good safe dyno tune and boltons wil not harm your car unless something is not made or installed correctly. Do research before you buy.

Its possible for stuff to break with out beating on it. I would play the safe route and stick with my warranty with a brand new car. But thats just me. Now as far as intakes, exhaust stuff like that goes I wouldn't worry about it. But i mean stuff like tunes and turbo upgrades that will defiantly get warranty work revoked.

But with the learn down feature, isn't this kind of wasting money then (putting on intakes and exhaust etc.), since you are held at 260hp. You might as well keep it all stock. I'm saying this and don't even have the car yet, but if the GM tune doesn't come out by Aug. I will go aftermarket.

The sound you get with a cold air intake is incredible! For some people that's enough even if the car learns down and you don't get any power increase. As for my opinion on the OP from all the research I have done (mainly on this site) people have been VERY pleased with the trifecta tune, hahn cold air (maybe CIA when it comes out), and charge piping. I would probably go with a dp as well. This will put you in the 300+ whp range pretty easily. Then you need traction upgrades. lol.

Wow. You really have 3' (3 foot) exhaust? I'd like to see pics of that! jk. Nice work on the mods for the $.
