No they will not be notified, if you go ahead and tell them you have modified you car.. they will most likley cancel your policy.

Not necessarily, there are plenty of insurance companies that offer insurance protection for modifications to your vehicles. Of course you'll have to pay extra for it, but better than investing $10,000 into a car and having it lost because some jackass runs a red light...

Obviously not something you'd do if you had <$2000 invested, but getting into the $5-6000 range it would be something I'd look into...

Tuning is not justified as a modification as far as I know in ANY insurrance company ..

Lowering springs . etc etc .. physical things only..

So what are you trying to say I put a K&N filter in my car increasing the HP by 1 and my insurrance company is going to drop me ? LOL duh ... It is pretty hard for an insurrance company to drop you for running mods... Unless it is riced out and you can tell it has them like a gay JDM exhaust sticking at a 90 degree angle out the tail LOL

they can add CERTAIN things to your policy, they are pretty picky about it, and they will not give you 100% of what it's worth. but you can add mods to your policy ,it will cost you a little extra for your payments as well.
