3 questions for the tc

1. plan on buying a downpipe in the morning at modernperformance. they have the hahn downpipe. i was wondering with downpipe should i get a hi flow cat or run no cat at all?

2 by adding the downpipe what would i see besides a little more power, would this make my exhaust louder? (because thats what im aiming for, i have a 3inch megan catback)

and lastly 3. how would you know if your clutch is slipping?
because i would redline 2nd and no lift shift to 3rd gear and everytime i do it doesnt wanna go into gear or it would grind really bad.

thanks

It doesnt matter if he is in Competitive Mode, the reason why your gears are grinding is because you are letting off the clutch to soon after you put in third. Yes I would go catless because you will see better numbers, and yes downpipes will add some noise

Go catless it will be louder and your turbo will spool faster. And SS for your clutch slippind. When you shift gears and your rpm goes up but you're not moving like you should be means that its slipping plus you would get like a skreeching noise when you shift. Hope this helps

Ohh im sorry you cant NLS, yes you are letting out the clutch to soon *******, its pretty much impossible to grind with the clutch engaged. That sucks about emissions, you can get catless and just put your stock downpipe on whenever you go for emissions

I probably would NOT recommend NLS with your mod's anyway. To prolong your clutches life. With a tune and your other mods, you could NLS but it will be tough on your clutch i would think. I think it was Dan from Clear Image said that he does not recommend NLS with a tune. But yea like everybody else said you will know when your clutch slips when you give it some gas your RPM's climb but you don't really move anywhere. If you are smart with it and don't floor it in 4-5th gear at like 2k RPM you should have better luck.

As far as you having issues grinding when doing the NLS i had that issue once when i first got my car and i was trying to hard (if that makes sence) I know i was, but who knows why your having that issue. Either way good luck!

you could have a clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder problem, that would cause the clutch to drag and not disengage fully and it would make it grind while shifting
