So back in the fall I meet up with a local with a Black R32 Skyline GTR, right hand drive car....intake, exhaust, intercooler, and boost restrictor removed.

The guy bought it out west, and is a really nice guy. anyways we went out for a run against each other....60, 80, 100km/hr speeds we went at. 3 honks, etc...

Anyways I got this GTR everytime, by a good 4-5 cars.

So I signed up to the GTR forum he is on, just so I could keep in touch because I lost his # for some future car meets, etc...

Anyways he must have spilled the beans to his other GTR buddies in SJ, because I came across a few posts that were referring to me

Kinda made me smile a bit knowing that I schooled 2 of these guys last summer/fall and there goal is to make sure it doesn't happen again

thanks guys, i know the GTR is a far more sought after car, with tons more power potential, but it was funny that a little domestic econocar made them take a step back and say, wow, ok that little thing works pretty good!

The guy was really cool about it, but he definatly felt humbled after we stopped and chatted.

I love the R32 Skylines but a 15 year old car needs major tlc and maintenance! There are a few in moncton but don't even bother running the red one lol. You should post the link/ thread to the trash talking, would be nice to see it on their forum!

I killed a 2005 Acura 3.2TL last summer. domestics FTW!

Cobalts are fast and shouldn't be underestimated!

 

Nah, I am not about to trash talk on there forum, the GTR's are a great car, most out there are hugely modded. I would rather have a GTR anyday over my cobalt!


Plus those guys are nice guys anyways, the point of the thread on here was just to highlight that every now and then we can surprise a few unsuspecting cars like a R32, and make them take a step back and say, holy, that little car really moves!


Oh Andre's car in Moncton is nuts, I know the car and wouldn't even bother trying him.

It would take those guys what maybe $1000 in mods to turn the tables and walk me pretty hard

I had no intentions of bashing them or the website.....rather seeing first hand what they wrote about your car and the cobalt ss. I am a diehard import fan myself and would love to have a supra tt or r34 skyline one day!
