If I put springs on my car can I put them on my stock struts? Or will they wear out?
Is there a kit that has both that comes with it?

Is there a kit that has both that comes with it? trasher 04-10-2009, 07:42 PM I have been on Tenzo springs for the last 15000 mi on stock FE1 set up and everything is still going smoothly. There are many people on the forum that are on stock struts w lowering springs. They will wear out faster than they would have w the stock springs, especially if having a lower car will make you drive like a peenos, but it is still not a problem to deal with right away. just wait until one blows then move up to konis Maven 04-10-2009, 07:53 PM yes you can put springs on your stock struts. no there isnt anyone that offers a strut/spring package for the Balt. Did you really just ask this question? wardzach2007 04-10-2009, 10:50 PM yes you can put springs on your stock struts. no there isnt anyone that offers a strut/spring package for the Balt. Did you really just ask this question? *sighs* yes Maven. I did. Everytime I post in this section you always go off on me. Im just asking a question. But I did search through threads and found my answer. I just don't want to buy sportlines and have to keep on replacing my struts. Some people are telling me to change them out when the blow out (obvious) And others are saying they change theirs out every 10k miles. Then another person says that they have never changed out there struts for the past 30k miles they had have them. Steven Flit 04-10-2009, 10:53 PM simple... drop by your local shop that works on shocks... ask them to rebuild your stock shocks/struts. BLAZIN07SS 04-10-2009, 10:54 PM i have over 27,000 miles on stock struts on sportlines. shocks are still in very good condition. take speed bumps slow, avoid pot-holes, etc. take care of them and they will last wardzach2007 04-10-2009, 10:57 PM Im getting more and more convinced to just buy them... I just didn't want to buy them and every "x" amount of miles keep on dishing out several hundred for new struts to keep my lowered stance. |
