So, I ordered a exhaust dump from Jegs.

Went to the local exhaust shop, had them install it roughly where the resonator was.

Started it up in the garage...sounded pretty nice. Had them put the cover plate back on.

Drove home.

Decided I wanted to take it off and drive around town with it open..to get a feel for it.

My buddy works/manages a valvoline oil change place. So I went there, pulled my car in, went down in the pit...took off the plate. Started it up, sounded about the same in the exhaust shop. Note: The doors were open in both places.

So I hop in the car...drive out.

The absolute second my exhaust dump was out of the shop, and into the..well..world. The exhaust went from nice sounding to absolutely deep. Ok.

barely giving it any gas, the deepness damn near vibrated my car in half.

Drove it around for 15-20min. Got on it a few times.

The turbo spools alot faster and alot lower rpm's, and requires less pedal mashing to get it into boost.

The car is friggin loud as fuck in the cabin.

Id say i'd take a video of it...but im sure the camera i use will distort the sound to all hell.

When I goto the track next, i'll make the wife record it so you can hear it from a distance.

I am going to try for sunday (4/19/09) to hit the strip. If not, may 22nd is the next i'll be able to make it for their friday night drags from 11p to 4a.

------------------

Heres the one I purchased: http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/30751/10002/-1

Its $26.99.

The sound is ALMOST unbearable for normal driving. Keyword: Almost.

However, for myself, and everyone around me's sake..i'll keep the plate on until the track.

However I will tell you this. It would be wise to spend the extra money and get the electronic one, as even though I only took off the plate once.....I made the mistake of thinking it would be cool enough after a hour...grabbed the wing nut...and burned my finger to hell. Even with 4 rags, folded in half..the heat still penetrates them.

Plus, my cars lowered, so i'd have to jack it up.

Just my 2¢.

what do you want pics of?

the dump on the car? or the dump sitting on my carpet?

I have 1 now, and can get the other.

And i'll give you a hint...its not the one on the car.
