Ok guys, help me find this rattle please

I have a rattling in the front end of my car that is speed dependent, I'll try to get a sound clip later, but for now I just have this description.

Its a clicking-rattling sound, gets louder and more frequent as speed increases, and quiets down when the clutch is open. Its not the transmission, its brand new and in great condition, I'm thinking clutch? Throwout bearing? Trans output shaft? Intermediate axle? CV? Wheel bearing? Maybe even a steering problem?

I should mention that not only do I suspect the clutch because it quiets down when its open, but the last owner didn't care much for the car, and the car came with a broken trans case (fluid on clutch?) and a soon dead 2nd gear...I give the stealer credit on being able to hide these things so well

I obviously don't want to replace all of these so if anyone has had these problems before chime in please
