Help and opinions of the future of my LNF cobalt F40 Swap/ZFR

Hey guys,

My future plans for my vehicle are as follows.

F40 Swap:

With this Swap, is it necessary? I know the F35's are ticking time bombs, however I want to know if they are reliable @ ~ 500WHP. As far as I have read no they are not. At least with the stock final drive in the LNF trans. I figured If I am going to spend a few hundered for a final drive swap I might as well buy a F40 and have the reliability I need.

With this mod.

What Do I need?

Would something like this work?

Or should I find a low milage one off a Saab?

What exactly would I need to do the swap. Please part #'s if you have them. For example new shift assembly/ linkage etc.

Additionaly I am saving for a ZFR I want to run not much above 24-25 psi on E47. I do not want to increase my RPMS due to not having anything done to the head.

All this will take time and money I know. However after my trans swap and ZFR swap I will be saving for a LDK motor. 3rd gen block just sounds really appealing to me and I have heard they are much more stable at 500 whp.

Any advice? information? or warnings before I begin this process within a few months.

Yes the LDK block is better, but the pistons and rods are the same so unless you're building it with forged goodies, why bother. You should be able to run the F35, just tune it for a boost ramp if you're going to get a 6758 ZFR. Personally if I were you, I would consider a 7163 ZFR. Since the boost comes on slightly slower, it's not as hard on the transmission and you'll be able to hit your numbers without E85. Even E47 at that power level will require the fuel cam.
