Ordered Black Injen intake...but I have a question

Alright so I finally broke down and suckered into the black intake from Injen and rid of the whole ugly box, but still use my drflow. The only issue that I am having is...well I don't have a jack or jack stands, much less an impact wrench
But, I do have a set of ramps that I use to change all the oil for my family with. So I have ran the car on the ramps and it looks as though I am able to access most of the small screws and flat pins without having to remove the wheel. So I have two scenarios:

1.) I can run the car up on the ramps, attempt to remove the stock airbox without having to remove the wheel

2.) remove the front fascia to aid in the pain it takes to get to the stock air box and MAF....but the thing is I have never removed the front fascia.

So if any of you who are like me and didn't have those particular tools at the time, or have found other ways to do this let me know. I'm gonna do it either way (I always find a way) but I would like some pointers.

yeh, you might be able to do it by option 1 haha, but it wouldn;t be as easy as just getting a jack and taking the wheel off. BTW you dont need an impact wrench to take a wheel off and put it back on. If you planning on removing the front fascia to do this your crazy

I don't think the stock box is going to fit through the headlight thats all. I know you can change a filter and everthing by taking off the headlight, but not sure if that stock box will come out. I would bet not

I ended up taking the front bumper off. It took maybe 1 1/2 hours total. Nice part is just taking the headlight out to get to the filter after this

Yeah, I heard from a buddy that he took the headlight out. I was thinking about just taking it up on the ramp, removing the headlight and the case it sits in to at least take the MAF sensor out....but a friend just so happened to let me know that he just went on a craftsman shopping spree. He bought a jack and stands and an impact wrench (already has the compressor and tank)...so I'm going the easy route! Thanks guys. And yes I knew about the jack in the trunk, but I'll save myself the work for when I have a blow out.

take out headlight. you can get the injen in that way easily. The front fascia takes 5 minutes to take off as well, so you could always do that.

Yeah I didn't think it would. Anyone know where to find(if there is one) a how-to? I've searched.

it's cool....and don't take off a wheel or your front bumper, just take out the headlight and everything can come out and go in with no problem.

jack car and take wheel off

under neat loosen bolts for the plastic box to get filter and access. Feed intake through, yell a bunch and make sure to put something over by where it rubs or do what i did and ziptie it.

i just put a injen intake on sunday this is how we did it very easy instal was done in 30 minutes. Take the drivers side headlight out and get your fron end of the ground does not need to be high. take off your oem airbox, maf, hoeses etc. drop it through and install the injen thats it. DO NOT TAKE OFF FRONT BUMPER LIKE INJEN SAYS WASTE OF TIME. Its that easy!
