Whenever i start my cobalt a big plum of white smoke comes out the exhaust. It only has 9000 on it. I just got my oil changed last week, any reasons why its smoking?

White smoke or bluish-white smoke? Any strange smells?

I have a Mach-1 so I am on those forums everyday as well. Alot of those guys have the same problem and it has really turned out to be nothing. Either due to weather conditions(condensation in the exhaust) or just optimum temp. and humidity... It only happend when they drove it hard or not hard at all. Nobody ever really found out why and nothing ever happened to the cars so most of us forgot about it. **** mine did it a few times(mach-1) and now not at all. As long as its not blue smoke and your not burning oil i'd say ***** it... but thats just me. Good luck

If it was tinted blue, would that mean that you were running dangerously lean??? Because I know with black smoke, that means you are running pig rich.
