DIC out of calibration possibly?

Was wondering if there is an issue with the DIC getting out of calibration? My main problem is with the temperature reading. The other night the car said it was 95 degrees at 9 at night...drove by a local bank and theirs said it was 77. Tend to get these readings a lot. Any help would be appreciated

Yea, mine does the same. It sometimes takes a while for it to read correctly, & sometimes it's perfect! I really don't know why/how...

Change the sensor first, it is only like 10 bucks.

The sensor is on the drivers side headlamp bracket.

you can always move the sensor to a little more appropriate place than behind the headlight and next to the engine...

The sensor doesnt instantly update. It uses several differnt "routines" to figure out what temp to display, its is not uncommon for it to be off. Eventually it stabilizes.
