exactly....I just helped my buddy put springs on his car...without even all the exact right tools, it only took like 2.5 hrs doing one at a time and we had a few issues cause of tools, and it didnt' make it take too long...had we had all the right tools and everything went right, probably 1.5 hrs...but it looks good lowered

We are not really ******* on you for offering to do it for people. Also, I am not sure how you are doing springs in 20 mins unless you have it on a lift and have 4 people doing it so you can do it all at once. If we had a hydraulic lift in my garage at the house, we could have done the springs in about 1.5 hrs....the jacking up and down makes it take so much time...I hate jacks even if they are hydraulic....and we used air tools, but didn't wanna tear anything up, so we were not rushing. However, if its something I can do and its someone I know personally or from one of my clubs, I do as much as I can free, no reason to charge a friend unless I am doing all the work and its a pain....but I rarely do it all myself, I almost always make them help so they know how to do it from then on too

those prices are well below the cost of any shops, so in the end the person who doesnt like touching the car saves money, i myself have cheaper labor rates, i enjoy working on peoples car, and unless its a big job, i dont usually charge more than 20 bucks, springs? 20 bucks, intake? 20 bucks, the only thing i would charge in the 3 digits is something like f/i...but most of times members of centex can get away with just having **** installed with just the cost of keeping me hydrated and fed as i do it, i know i have told some people "just bring me a 2l dr. pepper and make sure its cold" :p

As far as I know, many clubs generally do mod days where they put **** on for free. Not hating, but $150 for springs? Really?

And I can vouch for Juan's Dr. Pepper pricing rate. Had my whole header/dp/catback put on for 99 cents.

^^^ not all people belong to a car club? ^^^

and if he is trying to make a living out of this it be pointless to charge cheap.

i agree with .........some of you haha.
prices may not be "perfect" but they are still very much below what any shop would charge for the same item, and your getting someone who is actually familiar with the car and mods to do it for you..so you get that piece of mind as well. i do alot of things like that for people so i know that many people simply do not have the experience or even the tools to do the job so this seems like a perfect way to help others out and make a good reputation.
im all for it, good job.
