Okay, so I've had my Injen set to a SRI, and I wanted to convert it to the CAI, today. The extra tubing that makes it the CAI, is supposed to be held on by this little bolt, inside the engine bay, behind the passenger headlight. I have no flipping clue what screw drive it is. In the instructions it just says to remove it. I tried a Hex socket (Allen), and no luck. It looks like it might be a Torx or a Polydrive..

Why the hell would they use a weird ass drive like that..

It's a torx screw, but I don't know what size it is. I have my injen SRI installed with the airbox still underneath it lol.

Don't know why Gm choose to use that there.

Here's the link to the .pdf file for the install.

It's hard to explain, it just says - "Remove the 6mm bolt."

i eventually got it out and cursed at it for about a minute. then it looked sad so i took it back.

im not positive what size it is. but if youre unsure what size it is look at the K&N install pdf, they list a torx as being needed for installation. that's probably the size.

On the K&N PDF, it's say it's a t30 torx.

Go to sears and get a torx set of screwdrivers, like $15 and then you have the right tools for the job. They use odd screws like that in places where they don't want a novice to do anything.

The 6mm maybe referring to bolt used with the vibra mount.
