Anyone now the size of the exhaust on a 2005 2.2L Not SS Cobalt?

 

use the search button. been covered many times. but i believe its 2.25

 

i think the stock one is more like 1.25 or 2"

 

So this downpipe wouldnt work then would it.

I think it is 2.25" at the largest point, I believe there are spots where it is smaller than this...

Most get a 2.25" true exhaust like magnaflow... If you plan on putting on a turbo or a lot of bolt on's get a 2.5" system...

yea its 2.25 inches and where it bends, it goes down to about 2 inches. But you can put a downpipe on without switching exhausts, buts its pointless because it just creates a bottleneck with a smaller exhaust

 

I just had to say, this seriously made me ******* laugh out loud.

 

You could just crawl under your and measure it, or search as it has been answered befrore, and its 1.75 to 2"

 

Stock 2.2 exhaust is 1 3/4". GMPP Touring is 2 1/8" ID.

 

and the gmpp isnt 2 1/8" all the way through, it narrows down to ~ 2" over the axle i believe

 

I'm pretty sure that its continous all the way through. From what I know and when I looked at mine.

 

It is (2 1/8" ID)...it is mandrel bent so there is no reduction.

 

just get the corsa. lol 2.5 all the way.

base 2.2 is 1 3/4 or 1 7/8s then gets bigger to the back
