06 SS/SC question

I'm just wondering when did the SS/SC 06 Cobalts arrive at dealerships? I am wondering because I still have yet to see another SS/SC in my area. I see an orange SS all the time but never any SS/SC. I mean of course it's nice to have a car that 100's of other people in my area arn't driving.

Wednesday, I had an appointment at the dealership to have a scratch touched up that was on my car when I bought it and they only had two SS/SC models in stock. They had probably 50 other model Cobalts in stock. The day I bought mine almost 3 weeks ago, they only had 4 SS/SC. I find it strange.

On a side note, when I was at the dealership getting the scratch touched up, they made me feel good, like they cared. When I picked up the car, the guy treated me with all kinds of respect and even shook my hand. I love this dealership, it's John Elway Chevrolet in Denver! It's my 4th new car that I have purchased from them and I will buy more in the future, can't reccomend them enough!

not sure when they arrived but the car isnt that popular. they are a sports car that ONLY come in a stick. you dont see tons of SRT-4's or ZO6's either(only sticks), but you see tons of neons and corvettes. these cars are mainly for the enthusiast, which is why most of the SS/SC owners can be found on these kinds of sites... i would assume that GM doesnt wanna make more than they can actually sell.

ummm...dude...i ordered my '06 in september '05 and didnt pick it up til march '06. The reason being that my order was behind hundreds of other orders...this car is EXTREMELY popular. The reason you don't see alot on the lots is cuz they don't stay for very long...gets off the truck-->sits on the lot--> sold in a week. When my car finally came in, it came with a shipment of all 06 SS/SC's ( 9 of em i think) and only 2 were factory orders; the rest were sold before April
